About My Clients

My clients are adults navigating the complexities of relationships. They may be couples feeling disconnected, partners rebuilding after betrayal, individuals wanting healthier relationship patterns, or people exploring nontraditional relationship structures. Many identify as LGBTQ+ and are seeking an affirming space where they don't have to explain who they are. They are ready to understand themselves more deeply and create more intentional, fulfilling connections.

My Background and Approach

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with a background in both relationship therapy and human resources leadership, I understand that the way we communicate, navigate conflict, and respond to stress affects every area of our lives. I specialize in working with couples and adults facing relationship challenges, including premarital concerns, betrayal and trust repair, communication difficulties, life transitions, LGBTQ+ relationships, and nontraditional relationship structures. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a therapist who is both compassionate and practical, offering a space where they feel understood while also gaining concrete tools and insights they can apply outside of the therapy room.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that healing happens in relationships, and that therapy works best when people feel safe enough to be fully themselves. As a Black, queer woman, I understand the importance of being in spaces where you don't have to explain, minimize, or defend your identity in order to receive support. While I don't assume that shared identities mean shared experiences, I recognize the ways that culture, family, faith, community, systemic stress, and lived experiences can shape how we love, communicate, trust, and navigate conflict. I believe people are capable of growth and change, and that healthier relationships are built not through perfection, but through honesty, repair, and intentionality. My practice is affirming of LGBTQ+ identities, diverse family structures, and consensually non-monogamous relationships. I strive to create a space where clients feel accepted for who they are while also being supported and challenged to move toward the relationships and lives they truly want.
