About My Clients
Many of my clients have struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, adhd, chronic illness, and relationship problems. As a social worker, I believe in a person-centered approach and collaborating with my clients to meet their goals. I want my clients to leave feeling like there is something they can do to reduce the stress or symptoms that led to them reaching out for help.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) with experience working with people struggling with their mental health. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, phobias, and a history of physical and emotional trauma. I have additional experience working in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, and residential settings. Through this, I have provided support to individuals with chronic medical diagnoses, brain injury, and dementia. Along with supporting these individuals, I have also provided support to family, friends, and caregivers for these individuals. As a social worker, I believe in a person-centered approach and collaborating with my clients to meet their goals. I am very open-minded and want my clients to feel comfortable sharing their struggles without fear of judgment. I have an eclectic therapy style, meaning I pull from different evidence-based approaches that fit your needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an open-minded person who believes that all people deserve respect and dignity, no matter what their beliefs or experiences have been. I believe Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+ rights are human rights, bodies cannot be judged by size, and that everyone deserves to live free from oppression and should be able to live their authentic self. All religious and spiritual beliefs will also be honored and welcomed, and we will work together to integrate your values and beliefs into your therapy process.
