About My Clients
My practice is dedicated to helping individuals find growth, connection, healing, and ease. This requires all parties to do their parts, both in and out of the therapeutic space. I work best with clients who complete the necessary work in and outside sessions, are comfortable addressing the uncomfortable, and are consistent with care. I primarily serve teenagers, adults, and individuals affected by trauma.
My Background and Approach
I come from a trauma-informed background and have experience working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, domestic violence/interpersonal violence, and systemic issues. I approach therapy as a working relationship where we create a safe and comfortable space for individuals to feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe every client requires an individualized experience, and I work with various interventions to best suit each client's needs. I find clients know themselves and their experiences best, and I strive to remain open-minded, respectful, and supportive. I graduated from UWM in May 2023 with my Master's in Educational Psychology with a Concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am an LPC-IT working towards LPC licensure and have been in practice since January 2023.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring an evidence-based and trauma-informed approach to individual therapy. My clinical focus is rooted in Holistic and Feminist theory: Holistic aims to understand the person as a whole rather than singling out individual aspects or symptoms. Feminist examines how our societal and social structures impact our mental health and well-being. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and am committed to providing a warm and safe environment. I believe in social justice and change, and have feminist perspectives regarding societal progress. I am an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community and am involved with the Black Lives Matter Movement.
