About My Clients
Hello dear one. While I may not yet know your journey, I’m glad we are crossing paths. Healing is not meant to be done alone. Each of us will face anxiety, loss, disruption, disconnection, illness… these are natural to the human condition. As a world community the unraveling is at our door: climate change, wars, and rampant inequality. In exploring these challenges, we will tap into the wells of knowledge, tools, and wisdom that reside within us and the Earth, as collaborators in your healing.
My Background and Approach
I am an ecotherapist, mindfulness practitioner, and Earth Mama! Blending a warm, person-centered, and gently challenging approach, I will tailor our sessions to fit your needs. We may engage in mindfulness practices to root into the present moment and the mind-body connection, explore attachment relationships as related to current patterns, or strengthen a reciprocal relationship with nature through in-office and outdoor Earth-honoring practices. The Earth and I will help you to re-member your innate value and wisdom as a human BEing, and as part of the larger ecosystem to which we all belong. My work is grounded in humanistic, interpersonal, attachment, mindfulness, motivational, strengths-based, and ecotherapeutic frameworks. I also appreciate philosophical, spiritual, or existential exploration, and creative expression.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have had the privilege of working with and I welcome people of all backgrounds and intersections, including BIPOC, Latinx, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, and the ability diverse. I also enjoy working with creatives, change makers, perfectionists, empaths, and Earth lovers. I personally identify as a creative (singer songwriter and poet), an HSP, a gamer, and a nature lover - seeded by a childhood in the Sierra Nevadas. It is my belief - and both modern science and ancient wisdom show - that we need connection, community, and ultimately to be sourced in human and nature attachment, in order to thrive. The challenges we are facing now culturally, socially, and environmentally, need to be addressed through community-building practices that are inclusive of social justice and encourage reciprocal relationship with Earth. My future “non-therapeutic,” community offerings will include Earth-based mindfulness practices and ritual, with song, poetry, movement, and other creative expression.
