About My Clients
My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and families feeling overwhelmed by life transitions, anxiety, grief, or family stress and seeking a warm, supportive space where they feel understood and safe. I gently help build coping skills, strengthen communication, and support emotional growth so kids and families feel more connected, confident, and supported.
My Background and Approach
The tools I offer are ones I’ve developed through years of supporting children, adolescents, and families. My goal is for each young person and caregiver to leave with several practical strategies they can use anytime—simple, discreet skills that bring real relief when emotions feel big. My style is direct, warm, and collaborative. In our first session, we’ll explore what brings you in and create a plan that fits your child’s needs. I use CBT to help kids understand how thoughts affect feelings and behaviors, and DBT to build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthy communication. Together, we’ll work on what’s happening in the moment—anxiety, overwhelm, or family stress—and help your child learn how to calm their body, understand their emotions, and grow confidence and resilience as they move through life’s challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply that everyone is capable of growth. Unhelpful patterns are often learned along the way, which means they can also be unlearned and replaced with healthier ones. As someone who experienced intense anxiety as a child, I understand how overwhelming it can feel. Through my own therapeutic work, I learned to manage my anxiety instead of letting it control me—and I want the children and families I work with to experience that same sense of freedom and possibility. I welcome all clients and am committed to providing a supportive, non‑judgmental space. If you’d like to learn more about how I can help, feel free to reach out.
