About My Clients

I believe it’s never too late to rewrite your own story, and I welcome both new therapy clients and those restarting their journey. Everyone, regardless of reason, deserves to have a therapist they can feel safe and connected to. I strive to give my clients the comfortable space to be who they are and talk about their experiences in a way that brings safety and comfort, which may otherwise be hard to find. I also encourage some laughs along the way.

My Background and Approach

I have over 12 years of experience in the mental health and social services fields. I specialize primarily in Gen-Z and Millennial-aged adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, family and career challenges, and trauma. My style is integrative, compassionate, and strengths-based, and I believe in building a strong rapport to create a space for challenging conversations. My journey includes schools, jail, the child welfare system, and home and community-based programs for families. These experiences highlight the importance of including the systems and environments that intersect in an individual’s life into the work I do with them during therapy. Using this lens helps build insight on how to approach the challenges that a person brings into the space, as well as identify the strengths they have to use. Utilizing this approach, along with creating an honest relationship with a client, is my recipe for a successful therapy journey.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m a therapist who recognizes and acknowledges my privilege and place in both the world and in the mental health system, and how that will either align or differ with my clients because it’s connected in all we do and I prefer not to ignore it. It feels essential to recognize the systems that we’re in and how they may benefit or hinder our worldview and the choices we’re able, or unable, to make. I also value my responsibility as the role of therapist in your process. My job is to create a safe space that allows you to show up as your whole self with all your identities. That’s our journey together. Sometimes this journey is enjoyable, and other times it feels less enjoyable. But in order to grow we often have to step outside of our comfort zones and give way to vulnerability. There’s safety that comes from comfort, but the outcome from vulnerability is often immeasurable growth.
