My Background
I have lived experience in finding the path to recovery. I am an artist and take a creative approach in helping each individual find their unique path to where they would like to be. I believe that it is essential to engage the basics of breathing, hydrating, moving, meditating, and listening to music to find the road to inner peace and ecstatic joy. I built a small book of easy-to-understand diagrams on how childhood trauma, addictive behaviors, and codependent relationships all dance together. This is a primary tool that I use in the first few sessions we spend together. The counseling methods I use are increasing conscious awareness, trauma processing, storytelling, meaning discovery, and solution development. I am well-versed in open relationships, kink/fetish culture, and nomadic/festival lifestyles.
Why We are a Good Fit for You
If you have any chaotic recreational drug use or problematic drinking, I can work with you using a full stop or dial-it-back approach. I also work with recreational drug users where this is not a concern. I am very flexible and work to meet people where they are at. We send lots of reminders for our friends with ADD about appointments and are flexible about scheduling. We understand that life is hard - that's why you are here. My main goal is to be the counselor you always needed. The one that is down to earth, easy to talk to, and that will help you explore your options. I want to make mental health as accessible and understandable as possible. If you've questioned the point of therapy before, I get it. Sometimes it can seem like just paying someone to hear you vent, but I believe it is meant to be more than that. I aim to operate in the realm of surgery for the soul instead of being just another band-aid. Reach out today and let's find a way to slay the rest of your life.
