About My Clients
Many of my clients have experienced trauma (PTSD and C-PTSD) or childhood trauma and are bilingual or bicultural. I also support individuals adjusting to life transitions, whether that's a new job, becoming a parent, or transitioning to college.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). I integrate various theories and modalities depending on client needs, often drawing on Person-Centered, Gestalt, Narrative, Attachment, and CBT therapies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I learned a tremendous amount about trauma, resilience, and my own privilege through 15+ years working with teens and adults in crisis, primarily refugees and immigrants. I credit much of my curiosity, flexibility, and genuine interest in people's stories to them! While modalities, techniques, theories are important, I think the most important part of effective therapy is the relationship we build together. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and free to be you, take risks, and grow without fear of judgment.
