My Background and Approach
With experience in school-based mental health, clinical settings, and community nonprofits, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of populations—from children and adolescents to adults navigating complex life challenges. My background includes supporting clients through anxiety, depression, identity exploration, substance use, and family dynamics. I’ve led individual and group sessions, collaborated with families and multidisciplinary teams, and provided crisis support and case management. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I integrate strengths-based practices with modalities like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. I believe in meeting you where you are—offering a space that feels safe, real, and empowering—while helping you build the tools to navigate life with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, I believe that mental health is a human right and that everyone deserves access to compassionate, culturally informed care. My work is deeply rooted in social justice, and I strive to create a space where all voices—especially those from marginalized communities—feel seen, respected, and empowered. As a proud Mexican-American, I understand the importance of honoring identity, culture, and lived experience in the healing process. I’m committed to advocating for equity, breaking stigmas around mental health, and supporting others in reclaiming their stories and their strength.
