Adulting can be tough. Adulting when you have ADHD, Autism or Anxiety is even tougher. It can feel like everyone else knows something you don’t. Life in general just feels harder and tasks take more time and mental energy than they do for others. I understand the unique challenges that come with these diagnoses and can help you make changes to your environment, relationships, and thought processes to improve your functioning and make life more enjoyable.
My Background and Approach
Everyone has unique histories, strengths, and goals; as your therapist I’ll accompany you on your individual journey of self-discovery and support you in the process of exploring new ideas and implementing effective coping mechanisms. My approach to therapy is largely cognitive-behavioral, helping you to develop strategies for handling difficult situations, overcoming barriers, and challenging negative thinking that keeps you stuck. I believe art making opens up avenues for personal expression as well as emotional exploration and processing. As such, I am committed to helping you use art and creativity to increase mindfulness and work towards understanding your thoughts, feelings, and perceptions. I aim to promote strategies for emotional and social success as I support you through increasing independence, identifying your values and goals, and embracing the life transitions that line your path.
