I work with amazing individuals and or families like yours who are dissatisfied with their lives. They know an important transformation needs to happen and are looking for support. My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style focuses on deconstructing common beliefs, examining the value of these beliefs in an individual's life, honoring the client’s expertise & understanding of their life, balancing my expertise in the mental health field, and creating a highly collaborative, rather than authoritative, therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy is based on the concepts associated with Postmodern Therapy, Narrative Therapy, & Collaborative models of therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we have habits, beliefs and behaviors that keep us from living the life we are intended to live. Some of these habits, beliefs and behaviors we inherited from generations before us and some we have picked up living and doing life. It is my belief that we can change, grow, and or heal at any point in our lives, when we are willing to obtain new information and apply it. Now, I’m not saying that will be easy however working collaboratively your goals are possible. I too was continuing many of my families’ habits, beliefs, and behaviors but I knew in my gut there was more. I want you to feel the joy and freedom of a better newer version of yourself. I make it a point to support small businesses, black owned businesses and women owned businesses.
