About My Clients
I service teens and adults who are often sad, irritable or feeling withdrawn from others. Those who experience chronic worry, difficulty concentrating or getting things done, or who deal with highly stressful situations and struggling to cope. I also help clients manage things that have happened in the past that they may not have spoken about before. I enjoy collaborating with my clients in order to identify what motivates them to carry on and focus on goals that make life worth living for them.
My Background and Approach
I have been practicing since 2010 and licensed since 2015. I have a strong background in treating trauma, anxiety, depression and conflicts with family and/or friends. I also support people navigating life transitional issues (i.e. breakups, starting a new job, moving out/moving back home, going to school, etc.). I am trained in several trauma informed evidenced based practices that have been proven to assist with managing symptoms of anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress disorder among others. Change is hard, but I find my eclectic and person centered approach can help with making those difficult transitions much more manageable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy can be helpful for any and everyone. I believe that self compassion and radical acceptance are key to navigating life's ups and downs. We all go through life stressors and it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed or seek out a therapist for a fresh perspective. I utilize the principles of narrative therapy, ACT, CBT and DBT in order to create the individualized treatment plan that works best for my clients.
