My Background and Approach
Kamaria's approach integrates therapeutic modalities such as Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered therapy to assist clients in developing coping skills for managing emotions and fostering positive change. Kamaria has a professional interest in working with clients who are experiencing changes that may be impacting their quality of life - Such as complex trauma, managing anxiety, depression, and personality disorders such as BPD and ASPD. As a black and queer therapist, Kamaria brings a deep understanding of the challenges that may arise from navigating a diverse and intersectional life. They are committed to creating a safe and affirming space for clients from all walks of life but they specialize in working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, nonbinary individuals and communities. Kamaria is also a US ARMY Veteran and has a vested interest in providing a safe therapeutic space for veterans, active duty service members, and first responders.

As a highly sensitive practitioner, Kamaria has a genuine passion for supporting highly sensitive individuals on their healing journey. Kamaria believes that each individual has an inner self or resource that can be harnessed and nurtured for personal growth, self-actualization, and self-acceptance.
