About My Clients

Are you anxious and overwhelmed by life stressors? These issues may have been festering for a while or perhaps you have experienced a recent shift that has turned your world upside down. The pressure of meeting others' expectations , whether it be due to the different roles you play (i.e. perfect mother, ideal student) or aspects of your identity, can be exhausting and isolating. You know yourself best, but may need support and therapeutic tools to feel hope and take steps towards change.

My Background and Approach

I use an collaborative approach with clients that seeks to identify unhelpful thoughts , maladaptive behaviors, and core beliefs that guide the choices you make. My integrative approach also seeks to explore family relationships and early experiences that have shaped or impacted your life. I strongly believe in the impact of multicultural identities (i.e. gender, race, religion) on how you relate to yourself and the world. Lastly, my therapeutic lens is trauma-informed and is sensitive to the adverse experiences had by marginalized communities.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a biracial, Black and Japanese American, cisgender woman and mother of two multiracial children. My passions include exploring woman's issues and psychological conflicts related to multicultural identity.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
