About My Clients
Thank you for viewing my page and being so brave as we embark on this journey called life together. Seeking out counseling is not always an easy thing to do. I appreciate you investing not only in yourself, but your mental health! Working with clients is a passion of mine. I enjoy working with clients who are wanting positive changes to occur within their lives. Counseling can have it's challenging moments, but know that I will be with you every step of the way. I work with ages ranging 8-65.
My Background and Approach
Over the years, while in grad school, I often wondered what area of counseling did I want to focus my attention on. As I learned more about the clinical world and how best I could serve my clients; I decided that I wanted to focus on past traumas. Unfortunately, past traumas are all to prevalent within our lives. When we think of traumas it does not always have to be big events that take place to affect our mental health. Smaller traumas like: constant ridicule during childhood, bullying over an extended amount of time, verbal and emotional abuse, car accidents, death of a pet, dating and community violence are just a snippet of traumas that can occur in one's life and sometimes more than once. After learning this I devoted my time into learning as much as I could with aiding clients with past traumas. I have over 6 years of clinical experience in working with clients who have past trauma(s). I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and know of ways we can heal from trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life can be challenging with all of our responsibilities, desires, hopes and dreams. Together we can work to find a happy balance within our lives. We can achieve the goals that you have set out to accomplish. Life can be challenging, but we do not have to do this thing called life alone.
