About My Clients
Whether you feel stuck in time or can't keep still due to worries, I feel honored to serve all of those who come to me for help. Although I am specialized in aiding those going through difficult times or in crisis. You don't have to go through it alone. I want to help teach you techniques and methods to help calm your mind down when it feels as if it's going too fast to keep up with. You are not a broken or a problem that needs fixing; you are much more.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate from Texas, and I am supervised by Ellen Melton. According to the Counseling Compact, I can only take in clients from Texas at this time. When I become fully licensed, I will be able to expand my reach further! I strive to provide a safe and open place where my clients can feel free to be as open and vulnerable as they like. My approach is empathetic, warm, understanding, and patient to help you understand any barriers in your way and how to overcome them. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy to help you see problems from a new perspective and collaborate on goals on how to help you move forward in life. You are the only expert in your life, and together we can brainstorm and decide on goals that are right for you. I believe I can learn as much from you as you can learn from me.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people can grow when they are provided a safe, warm, and understanding connection. That being said, I don't believe there is a universal "normal"; everyone has their own unique background and culture that should be equally respected. I'm committed to advocating and serving all communities and believe that everyone should be afforded the same rights and opportunities. Outside of my practice, I do volunteer work and volunteer in crisis shelters. I am a member of the LGBT+ community as Aromantic, Asexual, and Agender.
