About My Clients

Whether someone is navigating neurodivergence, parenting a neurodivergent child, managing the emotional and practical realities of chronic illness, adjusting to divorce or other significant life changes, or simply searching for a place where they feel understood, I strive to offer a space where they are met with compassion, respect, and hope. My goal is to help clients recognize their strengths and move toward a life that reflects their own values, goals, and their own definition of well-being.

My Background and Approach

As someone who is neurodivergent, lives with a chronic health condition, has raised a child with autism, and has experienced divorce, I understand that life rarely follows a predictable path. These experiences have taught me resilience, flexibility, patience, and the importance of being truly seen and understood. They have also reinforced my belief that there is no one "right" way to navigate life's challenges and that healing looks different for each person. I have been a counselor for more than 25 years and have owned and operated a private practice for over seven years. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive training and experience in working with individuals navigating high-functioning autism, ADHD, divorce, grief, anxiety, and depression. While my primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I believe that healing is most effective when we consider the whole person. The mind, body, and spirit are interconnected, and I strive to integrate this.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a Christian and a counselor, I believe that the greatest message Jesus demonstrated was love. His example reminds me that compassion, grace, and kindness should guide the way I interact with others. In a world where division and judgment often overshadow understanding, I strive to lead with empathy and respect. I recognize that I can never fully know what it is like to walk in another person's shoes—whether their experiences are shaped by their ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation or identity, faith tradition, or life circumstances. Because of this, I believe it is important to approach every person with humility, curiosity, and a willingness to listen rather than assume.
