About My Clients

Loss and trauma may feel like an inevitable part of life, but coping with the aftermath of these experiences doesn’t have to be overwhelming. The process of managing our feelings or even accomplishing daily tasks may require support. That’s where I come in. As your therapist, I can help guide you through new approaches and outlooks, offering fresh perspectives for the path forward. Together, we can work toward developing new coping skills and strategies.

My Background and Approach

During my studies at Case Western’s Master’s of Social Work (MSW) program, I focused on child and adolescent mental health. I earned a certification in trauma-informed practice to guide my clinical work to meet the needs of my clients. One of the most important values I learned during my education was that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all method: each person’s treatment should be tailored to them, their needs, and their interests. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to personalize care. This means that whether you turn to art, sports, or anything in between to cope with your struggles, I can help find a program that meets you where you are.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

It is important to me to provide a welcoming and accepting space for clients to be themselves during our time together. I use an anti-racist, feminist, and inclusive approach to support my clients. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am committed to providing clients with affirming care specific to their personal identity. I am also passionate about accessibility and supportive care for individuals with disabilities. As with all social-justice oriented approaches, I am always learning how to be a better ally to the communities I work with. Outside of my work, I am an avid ice hockey and football fan and can often be found cheering on my favorite teams from my couch. I have recently started practicing yoga, and even though I’m just a beginner, I appreciate the time I take to move and reconnect with myself. I am a HUGE music lover and often have my favorite playlist on repeat in the background while I’m doing chores around my house.
