About My Clients
I work best with clients who feel stuck—navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or the weight of anxiety, depression, or a diagnosis. Many of my clients are seeking clarity, healing, and a deeper connection to themselves. I support individuals who carry a lot, often silently, and are ready to feel seen, heard, and supported. My practice especially welcomes those looking for meaningful, lasting change rooted in growth and self-understanding.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges. I earned my MSW from Rutgers University with a focus on mental health and am currently pursuing my doctorate. I’ve supported youth and adults through life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. My approach blends CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing, always tailored to your needs. As a culturally responsive therapist, I honor the impact of identity, lived experience, and systemic stressors on mental health. Clients often share that they feel seen, understood, and more grounded in our work together. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself and move forward with clarity, confidence, and care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black woman and therapist, I bring lived experience, cultural humility, and a strong commitment to social justice into my practice. My work is deeply rooted in my Christian values, which guide me to show up with compassion, integrity, and a heart for service. I believe therapy should be a space where all parts of your identity are honored, including your spiritual life if that's important to you. I support movements that affirm the dignity and safety of marginalized communities, including Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ+ justice. I'm also passionate about creating spaces of rest and renewal for fellow helping professionals. You are welcome here—just as you are.
