About My Clients

You are a gen-z or millennial woman navigating life on autopilot. Maybe you are struggling with a life transition, feeling anxious more often than not, or diagnosing yourself via relatable Tik-Tok videos. My clients come to me because they feel stuck in the areas of disordered eating, and living with ADHD, and anxiety. They are ready to make a change, and open to exploring their past and present.

My Background and Approach

I'm not the type of therapist who will give you lots of worksheets to complete in between sessions nor am I the type of therapist to simply ask, "And how does that make you feel?" multiple times in a session. I wanted to be the therapist I never had but needed as a teen and navigating life in my early twenties. I practice from a more psychoanalytic lens and will encourage my clients to often make timelines as we work through a particular issue to view the snapshots from the past. I believe in meeting the client where they are at, but find I work best with people who are ready & willing to challenge unsupportive thoughts/narratives they have formed & to become open to new possibilities. I have experience in inpatient, group practice, community mental health and school settings. I worked at a group practice for 2 years that focused solely on the treatment of eating disorders. I opened my private practice after 6 years in the field.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am currently involved in some clinical trials, particularly in the areas of eating disorders and ADHD. This is why I am operating as an online practice at this time. I am not able to share too much information as the trials are still ongoing, but I am excited to see the data and how it can improve our clinical approaches and treat eating disorders in neurodivergent clients. I have a French bulldog who is trained as a therapy dog. She has adapted to working virtually and enjoys outdoor dining, watching movies, and getting pup cups at Starbucks. I am a freelance editor and often review books and graphic novels that touch on mental health and eating disorders to ensure they are appropriate for mass consumption. I hope to write my own book in the future.
