About My Clients
I have experience in providing therapy to many communities and honor the intersectional identities of my clients during therapy. Common concerns of my clients include trauma, sexual well-being, depression, anxiety, adjustment to college, academic performance, interpersonal relationships, and identity exploration.
My Background and Approach
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology with a health emphasis from the California School of Professional Psychology. During my training, I completed an APA accredited internship at Oregon State University CAPS with an emphasis in interpersonal violence and an APA accredited postdoctoral residency at UC San Diego CAPs with an emphasis in sports psychology. Practicing from an eclectic framework, my treatment often incorporates interventions from acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, somatosensory therapy, and compassion theory. Therapeutically, I enjoy working collaboratively with clients towards their treatment goals and value their feedback. Sessions are typically unstructured and conversational, with a focus on current stressors that relate to my client's treatment goal. Interventions are then woven in during our conversation to support client healing and progress towards their treatment goal.
