About My Clients
My clients are navigating life after spinal cord injury, chronic illness, cancer, life changing injuries or mobility loss. Many are adjusting to identity changes, loss of independence, anxiety about the future, or depression tied to their situation. I also support caregivers and partners managing stress, role changes, and emotional burnout while supporting a loved one.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide disability-informed, trauma-aware therapy focused on adjustment to injury, chronic illness, and major health changes. I incorporate approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strengths-based techniques. My work is not about minimizing your reality or convincing you your challenges aren’t real. Instead, I help you process the emotional impact of what you’re going through, navigate identity changes, and develop ways to move forward within your current reality. Therapy is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your situation, with a focus on rebuilding confidence, clarity, and direction.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe when your body changes, your identity often feels like it changes too and that deserves attention, not dismissal. You are not “thinking wrong.” You are adapting to something difficult and real. Therapy should acknowledge the reality of what you’re facing, not minimize it. At the same time, I believe that even when life looks different than expected, it can still be meaningful and fulfilling. You are not starting over you are learning how to move forward in a new way, with support!
