About My Clients
Worrying is exhausting. It takes over your mind and body with racing thoughts, a thumping heart, a tightness in your chest. It becomes difficult to get anything done. You shy away from doing things you want to do. You want to feel in control of your body and mind. You want to approach a situation and know you can handle it. You want to be able to concentrate on the "here and now" and not worry about past experiences or future “what if” situations. With some work, this is possible.
My Background and Approach
Depending on your needs, I pull from different therapy modalities to ensure we are using the most helpful methods to address your concerns. We will explore feelings and events you have experienced. We will learn different coping skills to use during difficult times. And we will build a relationship so we are comfortable discussing anything in an open and honest way. You will come away from our sessions feeling understood and confident. For the past 14 years as a Clinical Social Worker, I have worked with clients who are struggling with anxiety, stress, ADHD, depression, relationships and transitions. By building a therapeutic relationship, we are able to attack difficult situations and explore deep feelings. Together we figure out how to find relief and to pursue things that bring about happiness.
