About My Clients
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity, relationships, self-esteem, parenting, and major life transitions. I specialize in supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and those navigating infertility, fertility treatment, family building, pregnancy, and postpartum experiences. My clients often come to therapy wanting to feel more like themselves, understand what they’re experiencing, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor with experience in private practice, counselor education, and clinical supervision. My approach is affirming, collaborative, and tailored to each client rather than one-size-fits-all. I integrate client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and other evidence-based approaches based on your needs and goals. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood and comfortable being yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface, build on your strengths, develop practical tools, and work toward changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that lived experiences matter - having a therapist who “knows” is important. I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and identify as lesbian. I am married to a woman and we have two children. I have been through the family building journey as a gestational parent and non-gestational parent. Being a lesbian, wife, and mother add to my lived experiences and make me uniquely qualified to support my clients in similar life circumstances.
