About My Clients
You are exhausted and frustrated. Between work and family life, you are constantly busy but as soon as you lay down at night your mind starts racing and it keeps you from the sleep you so desperately need. These terrible nights of sleep make it hard for you to function. You feel like you are failing in the areas of your life that are the most important to you. You just want to be able to sleep and feel rested. I can help get you there is as few as six sessions.
My Background and Approach
I completed my APA accredited internship and fellowship at VA hospitals where I was trained and supervised in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Additionally, I have been formally certified in CBT-I through the VA. CBT-I is an evidenced-based treatment that uses skills to change behaviors and thoughts to improve sleep. It is considered a gold standard treatment, which means it one of the most effective treatments for insomnia.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have always been sensitive to the effects of poor sleep. My interest in sleep grew when I learned about the importance of sleep and how complex it can be. Insomnia is a fast-growing complaint of many Americans and with that lack of sleep comes worsening mental and physical health. I believe in providing fast, effective solutions to this basic human need. It is my mission to help people get better sleep so that they can be happy and productive again. I do not discriminate and I believe in creating a safe place for people of all identities to learn and grow.
