About My Clients
My style is to be in the here and now with the client to process immediate reactions and emotions and to treat clients with genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. Whether you want to get to know yourself more or are facing life’s challenges, I am here to support you.
My Background and Approach
Life is full of difficult challenges that we need help to overcome. You are the expert of your own life. I am here to encourage, guide, and assure you through changes and challenges you are facing. I meet clients where they are at on their journey and work at their own pace making each session personalized for them. Making the choice to see a therapist is courageous. My goal is to create a safe, judgement free space for you to feel comfortable sharing. My orientation approach is based in person-centered therapy, CBT, reality therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I believe that all clients can change. We will work on learning new behaviors and thought processes to achieve goals and resolve challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any point in their life. Behaviors are learned and unhealthy behaviors can be replaces with healthy ones. You are the expert on your life and your goals and I would be honored to be a part of your journey. I support the LGBTQ+ community. I have volunteered for a sexual assault helpline and am here for survivors. I have seen a therapist for anxiety and depression and know it is a difficult step to take and appreciate you considering working with me.
