Boiled down to its essence my role as a therapist is to practice radical acceptance and positive regard for every client in every situation.

I have completed advanced training through Postpartum Support International. I love working with couples who are working to regain their relationship after a baby and designed an 8 week curriculum for pregnant and newly postpartum parents. I affirm families of all kinds including LGBTQ and poly families. I also have experience working individually with new mothers and they maintain and redefine their identities.
Ah! This is what I love the most! I have training in couples enhancement, the Gottman method, treating affairs, transition to parenthood, neurobiology in relationships, parent/child alienation, emotionally focused therapy, and trauma focused CBT (which I believe can help to resolve complex trauma and help relationships thrive. Additional I have done research and reading around families who have members with narcissistic or borderline personality disorder.
I am completing a second year fellowship on the treatment of mood disorders using evidence based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy. I have received extensive training and supervision in working with general anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and exposure and response prevention.
After graduate school I was accepted into a two year fellowship that provided advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy. I have received, to date, two and a half years of supervision from a supervisor that specializes in CBT and ERP.
Helping people have good relationships is my reason for being a therapist. I have done extensive training, research and reading on what makes good relationships and how to help people maintain boundaries and flourish in the relational sphere.
