About My Clients
Does your child struggle with anxiety, do they often forget how amazingly brilliant and talented they are? Are you frequently finding yourself asking "how can I help my child?". Therapeutic intervention can help you and your child thrive better and build tools to take your life back.
My Background and Approach
I offer individual and family therapy to school-aged children (aged five to seventeen). I received my master's degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, and my passion is working with kiddos from hard places. I have experience working with children who have anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, aggression, and more in many different modalities. I utilize a variety of treatment methodologies and will work with you to identify what approaches best suit you and your child's needs. My specialties include Trauma-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Art-based therapy, Bibliotherapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I believe that therapy is not a "one size fits all" treatment, and value that each child will need individualized care that meets their needs. I know that the hardest step in getting help is reaching out. I hope that I can make the transition to healthier thinking and behaviors
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones.
