About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and difficult life transitions. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with things from your past, or noticing patterns in your life or relationships that you want to change. Whatever brings you to therapy, I want you to know that you don't have to figure it all out alone. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and make meaningful changes at your own pace.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, compassionate, and centered around you as an individual. I believe that understanding the bigger picture of your life, including your relationships, experiences, and personal strengths, is an important part of meaningful healing. I'm trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques. I draw from these approaches to help you process difficult experiences, develop practical coping skills, and work toward your personal goals. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Family Science with an emphasis in human development and my Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in clinical practice. I also hold a certificate in Assessment of Integrative Health Modalities. I've worked with children, adolescents, and adults in residential, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and academic settings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has a unique story, and that our experiences, relationships, and challenges help shape who we are. I also believe that our past doesn't have to define our future. One of the things I value most about therapy is the opportunity to really get to know someone beyond the struggles that brought them in. You're more than a diagnosis or a difficult chapter in your life. You have strengths, perspectives, and experiences that deserve to be recognized. I value authenticity, compassion, and creating genuine connections. I don't believe therapy should feel like you're being judged or told how to live your life. I want it to feel like a conversation where you can be yourself, explore what's important to you, and feel comfortable being honest, even when things are messy. Above all, I believe meaningful change is possible, and that you deserve support along the way.
