About My Clients

Many clients come to me with reoccurring challenges due to chronic pain or illness, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting struggles, career hurdles, and more. We will focus on positive change without falling trap to toxic positivity that can lead us feeling more isolated and alone. I will always be transparent with you and encourage you to do the same.

My Background and Approach

Have you tried therapy before and felt you kept walking away without tangible tools for change? Or are you new to therapy and unsure where to start? Whether your problems feel small or insurmountable, therapy is an excellent way to learn new ways to face any obstacle. Sometimes we're not sure what exactly is wrong but that we just want things to change. In my practice, I provide an honest, compassionate approach that empowers you to become your best self. You can find more information about my practice at www.santaynezvalleytherapy.com. As one of my favorite sayings goes: "Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes". Together, with you at the helm, we will address your needs by providing comprehensive tools that lead to actual change. By focusing on the mind and the body through somatic and cognitive interventions, we will address what is holding you back and how to move forward toward your goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in addressing systemic issues that exist in every facet of our lives. This could mean exploring the impact of inequity due to systemic racism, sexism, abelism, etc. or it could entail a deep dive into intergenerational trauma. Nothing exists alone in a bubble so it is important to acknowledge the impact of the world around us, both past and present. The power of connection is also a core component of my therapy practice. Not only connection with others, but connection within one's self. As a culture, we have learned to separate our minds from our bodies and our selves from one another. Connection comes from awareness but also from humor, humility and empathy. It heals what ails us.
