About My Clients
My ideal clients will be anyone looking to process and recover from traumatic experiences, such as sexual abuse, emotional neglect, PTSD, etc. Additionally I work with youths who are involved in the legal system(probation, JDC, etc.) , going missing/running away from home, school issues and youths navigating our of home placement. I can provide support to anyone dealing with immigration related mental health distress. I am experience in treating anxiety and depression disorders.
My Background and Approach
My work as a Therapist is influenced by my education, training and life experiences. I have learned is that EMPATHY is very necessary and effective in motivating and encouraging movement in people to achieve their desired goals. As such, my therapeutic method is person-centered and strength based. I maintain a collaborative relationship with my clients in regards to identifying and developing strategies that will enable them to overcome their presenting issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
While I may employ a wide range of services and therapeutic modalities; I work primarily from a psychodynamic and CBT framework. Also, I recognized that each client is unique, and that treatment needs to be individualized. As such, each treatment plan is personalized according to each client’s unique treatment need. I also collaborate with Psychiatrists and other doctors as needed.
