About My Clients
I have experience working with clients on a variety of concerns, such as addictions, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, self-esteem concerns, self-harming behaviors, trauma, PTSD, personality disorders, and more. I see individuals, couples, adults, and adolescents.
My Background and Approach
It’s okay to not be okay. Sometimes, we all need somebody to lean on and help us understand the problems we are facing. I provide a nonjudgmental, safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviors through a compassionate and curious style. I recognize that coming to therapy and being vulnerable can be challenging and, at times, scary to do. Finding a therapist who is the right match for you is important! We have to be able to feel comfortable in the therapeutic relationship in order to foster a sense of trust and vulnerability that are necessary to promote growth. In my therapeutic work, I take an eclectic approach - relying heavily on narrative therapy and a person-centered approach to allow my clients the chance to share their stories and find their own voice. I also incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help clients manage symptoms and live their lives to the fullest extent possible.
