About My Clients
I work with clients who experience an array of mental health disorders, as well as interpersonal and life transition issues. Though I work with most populations, I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community, people exploring sexuality and gender, people experiencing difficulty regulating their emotions, and college students. I specialize in Cluster B personality disorders, disordered eating behavior, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders.
My Background and Approach
In 2021, I received a Masters of Science degree and an Education Specialist Degree from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Florida State University. I have been practicing in the field since January of 2020 and have a wide range of experience with different populations in both private and public practice settings. I take an individualized approach to therapy; I customize my use of theory and technique to meet the specific needs of my clients. That being said, I offer a generally person-centered approach, with an emphasis on feminist and multicultural theory. I also have extensive experience utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Diversity, equity, and inclusion have been the driving factors in my professional practice and personal values for many years. I am racial justice and queer-allied and am passionate about implementing equity-promoting interventions with underserved and rural populations.
