About My Clients
My work tends to center on a few threads: depression and anxiety that haven't loosened with therapy before, anxiety that's run so long it feels less like something you have and more like who you are, and older adults navigating a life transition, retirement, loss, an identity shift, that's stirred up bigger questions about who they are now. I also work with parents of neurodivergent children, bringing a developmental lens into that relationship.
My Background and Approach
My experience in outpatient talk therapy dates back to graduate school. I currently work at a ketamine-assisted therapy practice, which has given me particular comfort and familiarity supporting people with treatment-resistant depression and anxiety, conditions that haven't responded to the usual approaches. My approach draws from Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, pulling whatever fits the person in front of me rather than forcing one model onto everyone. No single modality works for every person, and I'd rather stay flexible than force you into a framework that doesn't fit. In session, that might look like working directly with parts of yourself, practicing defusion so a thought loses its grip on you, or reframing your story to make room for more of who you are, rather than a single narrative defining you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy isn't me telling you what to do. It's me walking next to you while you figure out what's actually yours to carry. I believe people have an innate capacity for growth, and that the answers you're looking for often already exist within you. Therapy is a space to help access them. From there, we can get creative; supplementing the insights we uncover together with tools that resonate with your own strengths, ways to support yourself outside of our sessions and carry the work into your everyday life. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is part of what heals. I aim to create a space that feels comfortable, nonjudgmental, and warm. A space where you experience genuine positive regard not just for what you share, but for who you are underneath it.
