About My Clients
My practice is an "art-as-therapy," ancillary/supportive and short-term in nature. At this time I am not offering ongoing psychotherapy but can be a supportive part of your wellness journey. I offer 1:1 guided drawing sessions and art-based wellness workshops that offer tools to support your well-being. I welcome all clients from diverse backgrounds, including socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexuality, and ethnic backgrounds.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Social Worker and have a master's in art therapy. I have over 7 years in the behavioral health field. I have worked and/or interned in addiction recovery, at a sexual assault treatment center, in a milieu-based community home, and with folks facing homelessness. I am certified in guided drawing, which is a sensorimotor art therapy modality.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was born and raised in Hawai'i and am an Asian-American woman. My upbringing and ethnic/cultural background have made me especially sensitive to working with minority populations and appreciate how the intersectionality of one's identities contribute to each person. I am an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.
