You will be empowered to pave the way for change (whether you are an individual, in a relationship, or in a difficult family dilemma), through the tools I will provide during our sessions.
My Background and Approach
My background and training leans heavily towards couple's work (communication issues, life transitions, etc.), however, I also conduct therapy with individuals, as well as families. I believe my clients are more aware of their situations than myself, so I do not assume the position of the expert. I facilitate the space for my clients to reach their desired space of growth and change with guidance from me via in-session and between session processing (homework). My approach is collaborative, solutions-focused brief, and strengths-based. I do not believe therapy should last forever, I believe in equipping my clients with the tools necessary to navigate whatever situation they are in. In order for change to occur, awareness of self and motivation to do the work is paramount.
