About My Clients
I help adults with anxiety, OCD, and trauma break free from patterns that keep them feeling stuck. Many of my clients experience perfectionism, difficulty expressing their needs and feelings, have had a history of feeling invalidated, neglected, criticized, or clients who are "people pleasers" who struggle to take up space and set boundaries. My clients may have a history of trauma and abuse, experience social fears and anxiety in relationships, OCD, and difficulty advocating for themselves.
My Background and Approach
I am a client-centered therapist which means I believe therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all approach and I value being flexible, creative, and collaborative by using different elements of different approaches to best fit your needs. I offer EMDR, where we use bilateral stimulation (tapping, eye movements, etc.) to heal from traumatic memories. This can be great for clients who feel "stuck" from traditional talk therapy and want to explore connecting with their emotions and body. For clients experiencing OCD, phobias, and social anxiety, I use Exposure and Response Prevention to help challenge fears and compulsions. I also incorporate mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which can help you learn to cope with uncertainty, find self-acceptance, feel more present, and connect with your inner values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer therapist and I am passionate about helping clients explore identity and reach self-acceptance. I strongly support the Black Lives Matter movement, Health-at-Every-Size, I am pro-Palestine, Jewish, and I value mutual aid and other ways that we can lean on community support. Outside of work, I love spending time with friends, finding queer or creative spaces, doing ceramics, yoga, and hanging with my tabby cat.
