About My Clients
I offer services for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and acceptance difficult medical diagnoses as well as other issues.
My Background and Approach
I spent several years working in inpatient psych settings while obtaining my bachelors degree and my master's degree. My first position out of University was with an outpatient program for teenagers struggling with substance abuse. I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, substance abuse, and integrated behavioural health in primary care offices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my core beliefs is that the rapport between therapist and patient is of the utmost importance. An ideal therapy session revolves around the ability to have an outside perspective to help not only talk things out but also to help find solutions for their specific concerns. I am a parent and foster parent which are very important to me. I believe that the people we surround ourselves with are important, whether that is friends, biological family, chosen family, or pets. Our connections are relevant to who we are.
