About My Clients

I take a holistic view of clients, build upon inherent strengths, and create a partnership to guide and facilitate change, making progress toward goals. I work really well with movers + shakers, helpers + makers: goal-oriented, organized types, as well as caregivers and creatives. I am trauma-informed, apply intersectional, feminist, and body and sex positive lenses, and incorporate harm reduction principles.

My Background and Approach

I use he/him pronouns, and I am unique and I know that you are too! For myself, and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, identity and integration-showing up as our authentic self in all spaces-is a vital and continuous process, so I aim to model that. Though I am experienced and knowledgable supporting the diversity of our community, I am also cognizant of my lived experience as a cisgender gay male. I have an eclectic, integrative style, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques from various therapeutic approaches I have training in, as appropriate: Relational, Humanistic, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and Motivational Interviewing. I provide a safe, affirmative, and non-judgmental space where it's all about you! Every client is unique, but with motivation and support you will deepen awareness and insight, and develop tools and skills to more effectively manage and make sustainable progress with your goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I led the launch of the first substance abuse IOP program at a premier LGBTQ+ health center in Philadelphia, and in addition to developing curriculum and delivering psychoeducation, I presented and organized a professional training event. With my first health coaching business in 2010, I hosted presentations, workshops, and events, and cofounded a spirituality group for gay men. I have volunteered with GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) as a trainer working with students and faculty, as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters in their Gender + Sexuality Alliance program, and served on the board of a local LGBTQ+ sports organization.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
