My Background and Approach
Playing tug-of-war with anxiety? Let me show you how to drop the rope. Years ago I suffered with anxiety too. So, I get it. And I can help if you are willing to try! I currently serve individuals struggling with generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder/agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder, health anxiety, and depression. My work with client's is primarily driven from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). These are evidence-based treatments that have been proven to be highly effective for anxiety disorders and depression.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
After years of recovery through my own anxiety experience, I realized that anxiety, panic, OCD, and depression are NORMAL and part of the human experience. Most importantly, I learned that when we try to BATTLE or NEGOTIATE with these difficult experiences, we only add suffering on top of natural pain. Let me help you build the necessary skills to apply the "mental brakes" when difficult experiences arise.
