About My Clients
My clients are high achievers, professionals, grad students and entrepreneurs who appear put together on the outside but inwardly struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, chronic stress or people pleasing. They’re insightful, driven and caring yet neglect their own needs - it’s something they notice and want to do something about. Addressing these problems provides relief and confidence in the short term and increased happiness, focus and success in the long term.
My Background and Approach
My background blends CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing and strengths based work to resolve these challenges in clear and practical ways. CBT helps clients notice patterns that fuel worry, stress and overwhelming feelings then replace them with more balanced thinking. DBT offers skills for calming intense emotion, staying grounded during stress spikes and building healthier responses to discomfort. Motivational interviewing supports clients in sorting through ambivalence, clarifying what they want and strengthening the drive to make changes that lift mood and reduce anxiety. A strengths based approach highlights personal resilience and existing abilities so clients can rely on what already works instead of feeling defined by symptoms. Together these methods create a supportive and structured path toward steadier focus, reduced worry and a stronger sense of control.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’ve always loved working with people and helping them navigate life’s challenges. My 17 years in community mental health exposed me to clients from all walks of life and taught me the importance of keeping therapy non-judgmental, collaborative and strengths based. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy and deserves access to the support they need, and I am committed to making it as accessible as possible. Therapy works best when it balances support and skill building. Relief comes from being heard, and lasting change comes from learning practical tools to manage long standing struggles. Some clients benefit from shorter term work, while others grow through an ongoing therapeutic relationship. I stay engaged in my own learning, continually updating my skills in trauma informed care, DBT, suicide prevention and effective boundaries. My goal is to help clients feel understood, capable and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
