About My Clients

My clients are navigating shifting identity, multiple marginalizations, complex trauma, and the exhaustion that comes from living through late-stage capitalism. They're burnt out, overwhelmed, and struggling to keep going when it feels like the world is on fire. Maybe it's finding their path in life, balancing complicated relationships with a demanding job, or parenting while making sense of their own childhood. Whatever the stressors, I'm here for it, and I have concrete tools and suggestions.

My Background and Approach

I use a wide variety of modalities, including elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, and Gottman principles, which I blend based on my clients' individual needs and preferences. I’m always learning more and adding to my toolkit. All modalities and approaches are tailored to center neurodiversity, trauma-informed approaches, and an intersectional justice lens. I also bring more than a decade of lived experience as a queer, transgender, and ENM/polyamorous person. I have lived a rich life in community and supported others through countless intricate dynamics. My path to social work wasn't linear. I trained first as a naturopathic physician, which gave me a deep appreciation for how bodies, environments, and social contexts shape mental health — and how rarely anyone treats them as interconnected. These perspectives still inform my clinical work today.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm queer, trans, non-monogamous, neurodivergent, and an antizionist Jew - these are central to who I am and how I show up as a therapist. My perspective centers neurodiversity, queerness, and non-monogamy especially - other frameworks are the ones I work at being inclusive towards. I take an intersectional justice lens in all of my conversations - I'll often ask about how race, class, gender, or other axes of marginalization might be factoring into my clients' experiences. I value alternatives to policing and community-based care. I am active in local mutual aid networks and have experience building real, deeply nourishing, and accepting communities. I take a restorative justice model and help others move away from cancel culture and other carceral social strategies. I don't believe in political purity, and I welcome working with folx who don't share all of my perspectives as long as the relationship remains grounded in mutual respect.
