About My Clients

If you're a BIPOC client who is ready to do the brave inner work of healing intergenerational trauma, shame, & limiting beliefs, welcome! You're a passionate soul with a burning desire to know the truth about yourself so you can experience authentic intimacy. You understand that healing lifetimes of trauma can take time, compassion, & discomfort (trust me, I wish it was easier!). Finally, you're open to evidence-based practices sprinkled with bits of woo-woo, humor, mind-body work, & science.

My Background and Approach

Energetically, I believe we can only impart what we have integrated into our own lives, and making sure I practice what I teach clients is integral to my approach. ALL parts of you deserve loving attention, & when you are fully seen, heard, & accepted your nervous system feels safe to create new patterns from an authentic place of worth. Together, we'll also examine your family tree & identify patterns & themes that may contribute your struggles. As a child of immigrant parents who had unhealed intergenerational trauma, understanding my family’s past & developing compassion for myself & my elders was essential for healing. We’ll then create a unique plan based on your goals, your Enneagram & your attachment styles. During the process, I utilize psychoeducation to help you understand the neuroscience behind healing & change. Finally, I use a holistic blend of modalities including somatic experiencing, internal family systems & neuroscience to rewire limiting beliefs & process emotions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

At heart, I'm not only a therapist but also a storyteller who dabbles in performance & standup comedy! Creative expression is a core part of being human, & helping others find the courage to express their unique voice in their relationships and in the world has been a passion throughout my career. Also, a drive for social justice has fueled so much of my work - as a teacher in underserved schools, in policy advocacy, & in community mental health. Mental, emotional & physical health don't operate in isolation - they're influenced by societal norms, generational trauma, colonialism, racism, poverty, & government policies. It's essential to discuss the context of our struggles because society can convince us to internalize unnecessary shame & stigma around our issues. And in reality, society often contributes or causes mental health issues. Finally, I love discussing all things spirituality, divine feminine/masculine, & pop culture & *may* be familiar with using humor to cope with pain.
