My Background and Approach
My clinical training has includes working with diverse client populations which included working at various school sites and Redwood House Crisis Center. Previously, I worked as a full-time Paraprofessional for Los Angeles, Irvine, and San Francisco School Districts in grades k-6. I am bilingual English/Spanish and can provide therapeutic services in both languages. I utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, person centered, positive psychology and eclectic techniques in my treatment approach to teach new skills, change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, regulate emotions and develop health coping skills.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion is to support clients through empowerment in order for them to reach their goals. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Everyone has the ability for growth and positive change. I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community, hispanic community and the Black Lives Matters movement. If you want to learn more about how I can help, send me a message.
