About My Clients
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, grief, and life transitions. I provide neurodiversity-affirming care and welcome clients seeking support with emotional regulation, people-pleasing, perfectionism, identity development, and patterns rooted in childhood experiences. My practice is inclusive, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from The Catholic University of America and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (Complex Trauma) and have completed advanced training in EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), anxiety treatment, ADHD, and autism. I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly pursue continuing education to ensure that my clients receive effective, evidence-based care informed by current best practices. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I believe meaningful change occurs when clients feel understood and supported. Drawing from a variety of evidence-based approaches, I help clients gain insight, develop practical coping strategies, process past experiences, and create lasting change aligned with their goals and values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and change, even when life experiences have led them to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Therapy is not about fixing what is "wrong" with you, but about understanding the experiences, patterns, and beliefs that have shaped your life and finding new ways to move forward. I value authenticity, curiosity, self-compassion, and collaboration in the therapeutic process. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe exploring difficult emotions, challenging long-held beliefs, and developing a deeper understanding of themselves. I am particularly interested in the impact of developmental experiences on adult functioning, the treatment of anxiety and trauma, self-esteem and identity development, and neurodiversity-affirming care for autistic and ADHD adults.
