About My Clients
I work really well with clients who want a collaborative, process-oriented therapy. A theme I often come across is that my clients are going through a life transition such as starting a new career, becoming a parent or leaving home. These times can be stressful and can impact mental health as one grapples with questions around identity, connection, meaning-making, and so much more. I also have particular expertise in perinatal mental health and neurodivergent-affirming therapy.
My Approach to Helping
I strive for therapy to be an environment that allows for authenticity and growth, which I believe go hand in hand. My approach to therapy is very collaborative and relational. At the beginning of our work together, we will start with where you are at in your life right now - we discuss current stressors, relationship challenges, life satisfaction, etc. From there, we look to your history to learn how your past experiences impact you today. The goal is to use that knowledge to understand where you came from so you can choose how you want to live going forward. I am a licensed psychologist with 13 years of experience. In my preparation to become a psychologist, I received training in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, university counseling centers, and private practices. I completed my APA-accredited predoctoral internship at UC Irvine’s University Counseling Center, and my postdoctoral fellowship was completed at Synergy Psycholgical Inc.
