About My Clients
You finally got the promotion, but you’re checking your phone again to see if they texted back. A friend posted an engagement photo, and now you’re spiraling, convinced you’re behind. You’ve read books, maybe even tried therapy, but the anxiety and relationship patterns keep showing up. I work with driven adults in NYC who seem fine on the outside and feel scared it’s too late on the inside. Together, we’ll look at where your patterns came from and build tools you can use between sessions.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed counselor (LMHC in New York and Florida, LPC in New Jersey) with over 9 years of experience helping adults with anxiety, overthinking, relationships, and burnout. I began with children and adolescents in Baltimore, then moved to NYC to focus on adults. I’m also a Clinical Supervisor who trains new therapists, which keeps my own skills sharp for you. I draw on attachment-based, psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and trauma-focused work. There’s a difference between understanding your patterns and actually changing them, so we look at where they came from and practice new ways of responding. Expect warmth and honest feedback. I’ll gently challenge you and you stay the expert on you. The goal is that you trust your decisions, speak up for yourself, and feel secure whatever your relationship status is.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up in a family where therapy was normal. My parents talked openly about their own, so I learned early that getting help is a form of self-respect. That belief shapes how I work. I believe two things can be true at once: you can do everything right and still not get the outcome you hoped for. I believe speaking up for yourself isn’t mean. And I believe just because something feels uncomfortable doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I also think good therapists never stop being clients. I’ve kept up my own therapy through big moves, career shifts, and a pandemic, so I care about therapy that stays curious and honest. Outside of work, you’ll find me at a mat Pilates or dance cardio class, enjoying Brooklyn’s music scene, or trying a new restaurant I’ve saved on Google Maps. I recharge with fiction, celebrity memoirs (audiobooks count!), travel, and the occasional reality TV binge. At home, I’m usually with my dog, Sero (short for Serotonin)!
