About My Clients
Has midlife left you feeling anxious, stuck, or disconnected from the person you used to be? Maybe you’re navigating menopause, loss, or people-pleasing patterns that no longer serve you. You’re not broken—you’re evolving. Through mindfulness-based, evidence-informed practices, I’ll help you release old burdens, calm your mind, and rediscover confidence and balance in this new stage of life.
My Background and Approach
At age 50, I decided to go back to school after being a Masters level educator for more than 20 years to follow my passion for helping others grow empowered and peaceful in their minds, bodies, and lives. This combination of education and clinical mental health experience has served my clients well, as I have a direct, person-centered, solution-focused approach. While I use evidence-based practices, I like to be creative in how I use them. Our world is fast-paced and encourages disconnection from ourselves and others. Together, you and I will choose strategies that encourage the opposite: deep connection with self, alignment, and stillness. I like to teach my clients about what they are experiencing--many arrive feeling broken. None of us are broken. We are simply adaptive creatures seeking acceptance, peace, security, and to feel safe in our bodies, minds, and environments. Together, we will make sense of you and your experience so that you can feel empowered in your own life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people, regardless of race, gender, orientation, or spiritual belief, long for the same things: belonging, safety, connection, and peace. As we grow, we take in experiences and messages—many without our consent—and adapt in ways that once helped us feel safe and in control. Over time, especially in midlife or during transitions and loss, these old adaptations stop serving us. Healing begins when we understand what’s happening and learn new, healthier ways of being that align with our higher selves. I strive to live with peace, curiosity, compassion, and non-judgment—and to help others feel safe and accepted and reach their place of peace. I have lived it and know that healing is possible and that everyone is capable and deserving of having the life they desire.
