About My Clients
Do you feel overwhelmed? Hopeless? Scared? Stuck? Do you feel like your world is spinning out of control? Do you wish the chaos would stop? What would it be like to not feel that way? Sometimes past hurts affect present relationships. Sometimes what you know in your head doesn't match what you feel in your heart. Sometimes multiple stressors can overwhelm you. And sometimes we just need a tune-up for our lives.
My Background and Approach
I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and sometimes that story causes problems. But it doesn't have to. Looking at your unique beliefs and expert knowledge about your own life, we can work to change your story. I work with adults dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, sexual assault & other traumas, PTSD, relationship stress, premarital counseling, grief & loss, and mid-life crisis. When it comes to couples that may be experiencing a disconnect, I can help close the gap by bringing to light more helpful ways to communicate. Helping heal relationships has become one of my favorite roles since transitioning away from the unfulfilling corporate world. Beyond working with couples, I also have extensive experience working with adults dealing with memory loss as well as their family members who have assumed the extremely demanding role of caregiver.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Love can be hard to find. It doesn't matter to me who you love based on gender identity, sexual orientation, kink, or whatever else you may identify as. We all feel the highs and lows of love and relationships. I gladly work with LGBTQ and transgender clients and those who engage in polyamory and other forms of consensual non-monogamy. I don't discriminate against anyone. I believe in racial justice and the Movement 4 Black Lives because Black Lives Matter. I believe that climate change is real, and we can do something to save it. I believe that elderly persons should not be forgotten.
