About My Clients
Are you looking to discover yourself? I specialize in identity work which includes individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, but also delves into those struggling with body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, eating disorders, or major life transitions and traumas. Working with me will be collaborative, involve ritual and learning, and focused on growth.
My Background and Approach
I started my first group for individuals working through substance use disorders under supervision in 2004. Since then, I've trained and worked in crisis counseling, grief work, family therapy, and across the age ranges. I come back to CBT often, but I have training in ACT, Structural family therapy, PCIT, Mindfulness and FIT. I have also been trained in biofeedback, electrotherapy stimulation, and psychedelic harm reduction.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in mistakes and am anti-perfection. I believe healing happens in relationship, not isolation, and that the most effective growth happens in communities. I am anti-oppression and actively working to be anti-sexist, anti-racist, anti-ableist, and any other systemic oppression I can help dismantle. I am open to feedback and willing to hear how I can improve.
